Budaya Kuliner Jalanan sebagai Interioritas Urban Sementara: Kehidupan Publik dan Adaptasi Spasial di Karawang

Kondisi perkotaan pasca-pandemi telah mendefinisikan ulang pentingnya ruang publik sebagai medium pemulihan kolektif, interaksi sosial, dan aktivitas ekonomi informal. Di berbagai kota Asia Tenggara, kebangkitan kultur kuliner jalanan mencerminkan tidak hanya revitalisasi ekonomi, tetapi juga bentuk adaptasi spasial terhadap keterbatasan ruang urban. Namun, meskipun sejumlah studi telah membahas peran sosial-ekonomi pedagang kaki lima, dimensi spasial, sensorik, dan atmosferik yang membentuk lingkungan informal ini masih jarang dieksplorasi secara mendalam. Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena interioritas urban fana melalui studi kasus koridor kuliner jalanan di Karawang, Indonesia sebuah kawasan peri-urban yang tengah mengalami transformasi pesat akibat ekspansi industri dan fragmentasi sosial. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus yang didukung observasi partisipatif, pemetaan sensorik, dan wawancara mendalam, penelitian ini menelusuri bagaimana konfigurasi material temporer, negosiasi kolektif, dan pengalaman afektif bersama membentuk kondisi spasial menyerupai interior di ruang publik terbuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ruang kuliner jalanan berfungsi sebagai infrastruktur adaptif yang memperkuat kohesi sosial dan ketahanan spasial melalui kolaborasi akar rumput serta fleksibilitas temporal. Studi ini berkontribusi terhadap wacana arsitektur dan perkotaan dengan menempatkan temporer dan informalitas sebagai bentuk kecerdasan desain, bukan ketidakteraturan urban. Konsep interioritas urban adaptif yang ditawarkan memperluas pemahaman teoretis tentang praktik spasial keseharian dan memberikan wawasan praktis bagi perancangan ruang publik yang inklusif serta kontekstual di wilayah yang mengalami urbanisasi cepat
